Publishing in a single, narrowly focused journal is not the only way to get research in front of readers. The JMVRA journal network brings together three online, monthly, multidisciplinary journals — JMVRA, TIJER and JNRID — so that an author working in almost any discipline can find an open access home for a finished paper without paying subscription-era prices. This guide explains what each journal is, how a manuscript travels from submission to a published article, what open access and the CC BY 4.0 licence mean for you, how DOI and discovery work, and how to decide which of the three journals suits your paper.
Key takeaways
- The network is three journals: JMVRA (ISSN 2984-8911, since June 2023), TIJER (ISSN 2349-9249, since 2014) and JNRID (ISSN 2984-8687, since 2023) — all online, monthly and multidisciplinary.
- JMVRA charges ₹971 INR for Indian authors and $41 USD for international authors, due only after acceptance; TIJER and JNRID are low cost at ₹970 INR / $50 USD.
- Articles are open access under CC BY 4.0: free to read, authors keep copyright. A Crossref DOI is an optional add-on priced on the DOI page.
- Submit to JMVRA on this site; TIJER and JNRID submissions start from ResearchWave.
Why publish through a journal network?
Many researchers — postgraduate students, early-career faculty, doctoral scholars and practitioners writing up applied projects — face the same three obstacles when they look for a journal. The first is scope: a paper that crosses disciplines, such as a study of technology adoption in rural education, does not sit comfortably inside a single-subject journal. The second is cost: many open access titles charge article processing fees that are out of reach for self-funded authors. The third is uncertainty: it is hard to tell from the outside how a journal reviews papers, what it actually charges, and whether its claims about impact or recognition can be checked.
A small, clearly defined network answers all three. Every journal in the JMVRA network is multidisciplinary, so scope is rarely a barrier. Every journal publishes its fees openly, and the charges sit in the same low band. And because the three journals follow the same broad publishing approach — online, monthly, open access, peer reviewed — an author who understands one of them already understands how the others work. If one journal's issue timing or focus does not suit your paper, you can consider another without starting your research from scratch.
The three journals in the network
The network lists exactly three journals, always in this order. JMVRA is the journal run from this website; TIJER and JNRID are its partner journals, and their submissions start from a shared researchwave.org page.

* 11.25 is a calculated metric based on citations from Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar. It is not an official Clarivate Journal Impact Factor (JCR). TIJER and JNRID describe themselves as "UGC CARE Approved, Transparent Peer-Reviewed (Refereed) Journal as per new UGC Notification" and "Multidisciplinary, Monthly, Crossref DOI, Indexing in all major database & Metadata".
Side-by-side comparison
The table puts the facts that most authors compare first — fees, age, identifiers and where to submit — in one place. All three journals are online-only and publish every month.

From submission to publication
The route a JMVRA manuscript takes has five stages. Each one has a purpose: screening stops incomplete or out-of-scope files before they waste a reviewer's time, review decides whether the work is ready, and payment is requested only once a paper has actually been accepted.
Submit
Upload the manuscript and author details at submitpaper.php.
Screen
Editors check completeness, formatting, scope and similarity.
Review
Subject reviewers assess originality, method and clarity.
Accept & pay
Fee of ₹971 INR / $41 USD is due only after acceptance.
Publish
The article appears in the monthly issue, free to read.
A useful habit is to keep a single folder for each submission: the final manuscript, the cover note, any reviewer comments, your revised version and the acceptance message. If you later need to show your institution how the paper was reviewed and accepted, everything is already in one place.
How peer review works
JMVRA is a peer-reviewed, refereed journal. After a submission passes the editorial screen, it goes to reviewers who work in or near the paper's subject. They look at four things above all: whether the question is clearly stated, whether the method can answer it, whether the results support the conclusions, and whether the paper adds something that is not already published.
Reviewers can recommend acceptance, minor revision, major revision or rejection. A revision request is not a failure — it is the most common outcome for a sound paper, and answering each comment point by point is the fastest way to acceptance.
"Transparent" peer review, in the sense the network uses it, means that the stages are stated openly and the author is told where the paper stands: received, under review, revision requested, accepted or declined. Speed matters to authors, but it should come from an organised process, never from skipping evaluation. If a journal of any kind promises acceptance before anyone has read your paper, treat that as a warning sign.
Open access and the CC BY 4.0 licence
Open access means anyone with an internet connection can read the published article in full, without a subscription, an institutional login or a per-article charge. For authors this is more than a courtesy to readers: an article that anyone can open is an article that anyone can cite, discuss and build on, which is how research gains visibility over time.
JMVRA articles carry the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence. In plain terms, readers may copy, share, translate and adapt the work for any purpose, including teaching and further research, as long as they give proper credit to the authors and the original publication. Authors keep their names attached to the work wherever it travels, and their article can be deposited in institutional repositories or shared on academic profiles without asking anyone's permission.
- Readers pay nothing, ever, to read a JMVRA article.
- Authors pay a single publication fee only after acceptance — ₹971 INR or $41 USD.
- Re-users may adapt and redistribute the work with attribution under CC BY 4.0.
DOI, indexing and discovery
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a permanent link to an article that keeps working even if a website changes its page addresses. JMVRA offers a Crossref DOI as an optional add-on at ₹300 INR for Indian authors or $20 USD for international authors; DOIs use the Crossref prefix 10.56975. A DOI makes citation tracking easier and is often requested by institutions when they review a publication record.
Discovery is what happens after publication: search engines and scholarly databases find the article and show it to people looking for the topic. You can check JMVRA's presence yourself using these links. Crossref Search, OpenAlex and Google Search open a search results page — they are discovery links, not proof of indexing.
Where JMVRA stands on UGC
Indian authors often ask about UGC before anything else, because many institutions refer to UGC guidance when they evaluate publications. JMVRA's position is set out in one statement:
UGC journal numbers belonged to the approved list that existed before 2019. JMVRA was established in 2023, after that list ended, so it has no UGC number; instead it is judged — like every journal today — against UGC's Suggested Parameters. If your institution has its own approved list or additional rules, check them before you submit.
Choosing the right journal for your paper
Because all three journals are multidisciplinary, the choice is usually about practical preferences rather than subject. These questions help:
- Do you want to work directly with this website? Choose JMVRA — you submit, track and receive your publication documents here, and the fee is ₹971 INR / $41 USD.
- Do you value a longer track record? TIJER has published since 2014, the longest history in the network.
- Is your work about new ideas, products or methods? JNRID's title — Novel Research and Innovative Development — signals a focus on innovation-led studies.
- Are you an international author on a tight budget? JMVRA's $41 USD is the lowest international fee in the network.
- Do you need a DOI from day one? Ask for JMVRA's Crossref DOI add-on when your paper is accepted.
Whatever you choose, submit each manuscript to only one journal at a time. Sending the same paper to two journals at once — even two in the same network — is treated as duplicate submission and can lead to rejection by both.
Preparing your manuscript
Most delays in publishing come from avoidable problems in the file itself. Before you upload, run through this checklist:
- A concise title that names the topic and, where useful, the setting or method.
- An abstract of roughly 150–250 words covering aim, method, main result and conclusion.
- Four to six keywords that a reader would actually type into a search box.
- Clear sections: introduction, literature review, method, results, discussion, conclusion.
- Every table and figure numbered, captioned and mentioned in the text.
- A consistent reference style, with every in-text citation matched in the reference list.
- Your own similarity check, so that quoted or paraphrased material is properly cited.
- Correct author names, affiliations and a working email for the corresponding author.
A paper that arrives complete moves through screening quickly and gives reviewers nothing to stumble over except the research itself — which is exactly where their attention should be.
