Using Journal Cards to Build Your Submission Shortlist
Side-by-side cards present key details quickly, but they are only a first filter. Use them to narrow your options, then investigate the remaining candidates more deeply.
- Shortlist two or three titles. Pick a small group that appear to suit your subject, then examine each carefully. A short list makes thorough comparison practical within a busy schedule.
- Open each journal's own website. Cards summarise; the official site holds the binding rules. Confirm every detail you plan to depend on, especially anything about fees or review procedure.
- Read two recent papers per title. Sample articles close to your topic and notice their depth, language quality and structure. This reveals the real standard better than any description.

Yes. After UGC discontinued the UGC and UGC-CARE journal lists, journals are judged against UGC’s Suggested Parameters for Choosing Peer-Reviewed Journals, and JMVRA is aligned with them. No journal number is quoted because no list exists any more.
