The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India introduced the CARE (Consortium for Academic and Research Ethics) list to help universities and researchers identify credible journals. Journal of Modern and Versatile Research Approach (JMVRA) has been recognized under this framework as a UGC CARE Approved Journal Publication.
In October 2024, the UGC issued a public notice discontinuing the old CARE journal list and introducing updated parameters. Under the new UGC guidelines, journals that follow a Transparent Peer Review (Refereed) process are now accepted for academic submissions, promotions, and PhD requirements. JMVRA is fully compliant with these new norms and holds a valid Transparent Peer Review Certificate.

A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a unique, permanent identifier assigned to a published research paper, making it permanently citable and globally traceable. JMVRA assigns CrossRef DOI — the gold standard in academic publishing — to every paper on request.
Why CrossRef specifically? CrossRef is the official DOI registration agency for scholarly content, trusted by publishers like Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley. A CrossRef DOI links directly to your paper's metadata, ensuring it appears in reference managers like Mendeley, citation databases like Scopus and Web of Science, and search engines like Google Scholar.
DOI links never break — your paper remains citable and findable forever, even if URLs change.
CrossRef DOIs appear in Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and all major academic search engines.
Papers with a DOI are cited significantly more than those without — boosting your h-index and academic profile.
CrossRef membership signals publisher credibility and is required by many indexing databases as a quality marker.
JMVRA follows a rigorous Transparent Double-Blind Peer Review process managed by 3,000++ domain experts. Every submitted paper goes through the following structured evaluation pipeline before publication.
Author submits manuscript through the online portal or via email to [email protected]. The submission should follow the JMVRA paper format template (downloadable from the website).

Two things changed the rules for Indian researchers recently: UGC withdrew the CARE Journal List, and transparent peer review moved from a nice-to-have to the central test of a credible journal. Each topic has a detailed reference page and a visual guide — start with whichever suits how you read.
UGC CARE List Discontinued
UGC withdrew the CARE Journal List on 3 October 2024 and replaced it with suggestive parameters you can verify yourself. See how JMVRA meets every one of them.
Transparent Peer Review
Reviewer reports published beside the article, optional identity disclosure and a verifiable certificate — the practices the UGC 2025 policy actually asks a journal to demonstrate.

Beyond journal papers, JMVRA Publication publishes books, dissertations and theses with a free ISBN, 100% author royalty and distribution to Amazon, Flipkart and 200+ global stores.

UGC CARE Approved Parameters Aligned
The journal’s UGC position in one statement
JMVRA is a Transparent, Peer-Reviewed, Open Access Journal (Refereed Journal). Following the discontinuation of the UGC and UGC-CARE journal listing, and in alignment with the latest UGC-CARE recommendations and guidelines, JMVRA is aligned with UGC’s Suggested Parameters for Choosing Peer-Reviewed Journals.
No UGC journal number is quoted: UGC no longer maintains a journal list, so none exists for a journal founded after 2019. Verify the journal through its ISSN record, review policy, archive and fee page instead. UGC public notice (PDF)
